WHAT IS THE E100
CHALLENGE?
The Essential
100 Challenge™ (The E100) is a Bible
reading program built around 100 carefully selected
short Bible passages — 50 from the Old Testament and 50
from the New Testament. The goal is for people to get
the big picture of God's Word and in the process develop
a daily Bible reading habit. As a congregation we
are taking on the challenge to engage in this together.
We will begin together on March 31 and continue for 20
weeks, working our way through the Bible. Besides
being a great way to get the “big picture” perspective
of major themes of Scripture, this is an opportunity to
be doing so with many in the congregation. Also,
it is a great way to get into a regular routine of
reading the Bible.
HOW
DO I GET INVOLVED?
Throughout the church you
should be able to find E100 reading guides available to
be picked up. The reading guides list the passages for
each week and have a little circle to punch out for each
reading so you can track your progress. Your first step
is to pick up a reading guide and put it in your Bible
or a strategic place at home. The second step is to
decide where this reading plan will fit into your
schedule so you have a game plan before we begin. If
you are currently reading through the Bible or are using
a study guide, you may want to get to a good stopping
place. The final step is to begin with the rest of the
congregation on Monday, March 31. Throughout the
program we’ll be talking about what we’ve been learning
in our services and ABFs. You might want to develop a
system to be noting your own observations.
WHY REGISTER FOR E100 EMAILS?
We encourage you to register for E100 emails so that
we can be an encouragement to you through the program.
It gives us an opportunity to send out some reminders to
those involved in the program and to encourage you to
keep with it. Also, we may be able to provide you with
some background information or application questions
along the way. It is one more way for us to benefit
from taking on this challenge together. To register for
the emails, just complete the information in the box
below. Should you change your mind, its easy to opt
out. Thanks for giving it a try.
