Our Men's programs include small groups, special programs and various studies throughout the year.

Men's Rappelling Adventure

8 - 11:30 AM

Cost: $36 (check made out to CFC or cash), due to CFC before or on the day of.

Sign up: by Oct. 11 on CFC bulletin board or call Dave Horst 717-808-0051 (maximum of 20 men)

Participants must complete North Fork Adventures Waiver - CLICK HERE FOR WAIVER.  Dress for the weather in athletic fitted clothing and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes. Bring snacks and water. There are porta johns in the parking lot, but no facilities at the climb site (just trees).

Meet in the Northwest River Trail parking area at 8:00 am.  Google map link.

We'll get everyone checked in and geared up in the parking area and then walk for approximately 10 minutes down the paved rail-trail to the climb site. Eric Sauder and other guides will do a quick safety talk and demonstration and then participants can start rappelling. Accessing the top of the rappels involves some 4th class scrambling (steep trail that involves using hands and a little bit of easy climbing). Participants will be on a belayed rappel (an instructor will control a rope as a back-up in case a participant makes a mistake). There will be an 85 ft option and a lower option. If people are feeling brave, we can set up the 180 ft option.
